It was a beautiful June day when Ava descended the stairs of her venue to an entryway full of anticipation. Sparkling and shining in the grand space, Ava was stunning in her beautiful blush sequin ballgown as the inspiration for this event design. A modern take on a traditional fairytale, complete with timeless and classic elements, Ava’s quinceanera was an occasion which would have left Beauty and the Beast blushing.

After quarantine delayed this special celebration, Ava, Meghan and Eddie's family and friends were certainly ready to party and our Creative Team was eager to get back to transforming events spaces which portray the stories of our clients. We could not think of a more deserving family to help write the pages of their next chapter as a family, and bridge to Ava’s adult life.

Classic fairytale inspired Cut Crystal Candelabras were the focus of this design from the very beginning, while candlesticks carried the timeless theme throughout the room. As a symbol of Ava reaching adulthood, just as the aging roses from this classic tale, burgundy was significant to this refined design. Complimenting the burgundy attire of Ava’s court, or damas, our Creative Team saturated the neutral space in bold, memorable color, with our Poppy Shantung to help carry the enchantment of the evening throughout the vast ballroom.

Pulling additional texture into the space to complement our Shantung Linens and Gold Decorative Guest Charger Plates, our Creative Team paired our Berry Radiance Dinner Napkins, using the perfect rosette napkin fold, to provide greater depth and interest to the tablescape.

With the length of the court table on an elevated platform, a low candlelit design was needed to highlight the importance of this space and our Creative Team utilized our Cut Crystal Pier Candle Holders to accentuate the length of the table, while providing guests the optimal view of Ava and her court.

After her grand entrance, cocktails on the patio led to a formal dinner, followed by a traditional toast and cake cutting. We swooned over Ava's father-daughter dance with her father Eddie, and the waltz with members of her family, which was deserving of its own classic tale.

After a quick change to a black ensemble, Ava hit the dancefloor with her court for a rehearsed dance with props and professional dancers which urged the already excited crowd to step onto the dancefloor. After the dance was complete, Ava received the three traditional gifts to symbolize her growth to adulthood: high heel shoes to represent her transformation into adulthood, a tiara to symbolize beauty, and a bear in the place of a traditional doll to represent leaving childhood possessions behind.

As the night continued, so did the timeless and elegant glow of our Cut Crystal Candlesticks, which truly came alive with what seemed like magic after the lights were turned low and the music was turned up. Dancing the night away with her friends and family, Ava's smile says it all. What a spectacular and magical night surround by thankful loved ones, who gave joy and celebration a whole new meaning.
